Hello! I'm Kim
I have been practicing Reiki for over 20 years. I began my journey in the Western tradition and, over time, found my way to Usui Reiki Ryōhō, a traditional Japanese practice of Reiki.
In my early years of practice, I sometimes felt a quiet tension around the way Reiki was described—the idea that I might be transmitting a special power that others did not have access to. As I continued to practice and learn, I found myself drawn toward a way of understanding and practicing Reiki that fit better with how I naturally think and make sense of the world.
Usui Reiki Ryōhō gave me that. It offered a practice I could understand and describe in a way that felt honest, simple, and grounded. For me, the practice begins with stillness and quieting the mind—becoming less caught up in the sense of separation and more aware of the connection we already share with the world around us.
Over time, I also began offering Sound Therapy as a complementary practice.
My background in massage therapy and holistic health has given me an appreciation for the ways physical tension, emotional stress, and the demands of everyday life can affect how we experience ourselves. That understanding influences the way I approach each session—not as a dramatic intervention, but as an opportunity to slow down, become more present, and allow some space for stillness.
Reiki and Sound Therapy are both quiet, supportive practices that offer an opportunity to step away from the demands of everyday life and simply be present.
During a session, there is nothing you need to achieve, perform, or believe in. You can simply rest and experience the practice in whatever way feels natural to you.
My intention is to provide a calm, grounded environment where you can slow down and give yourself permission to rest. Whatever you experience during a session is personal to you. There is no expectation that it needs to look or feel a certain way.
You simply get to be here, as you are.
